Visitors to the winery's Dandelion May Fest on April 30 and May 1 got a sneak peek at Dusk, where seating is available at picnic tables inside the pavilion, outside on decks, and on low stone landscaping walls. The walls are made from barn foundation stones from the farm of the late local theatrical figure Rachel Redinger. She founded the Ohio Outdoor Historical Drama Association, which produces \"Trumpet in the Land\" in New Philadelphia. The hand-cut foundation pieces include the barn's 1871 cornerstone.
\"When it first hit, certainly we were affected just like everyone else, but only for a few weeks,\" Bixler said. \"Because of our agricultural status, we were allowed to be open. We were allowed to taste wines and so forth. Our patio was open shortly after that.\"
Since 2019 we have been recording our own Butlers Podcast. It was my idea trying to do something no one else was really doing in the wine world at the time and it grew from there. Our niece Evie does the intros and outros for us and Henry and I record them all on my iphone in one take. We discuss wine trends, different regions or grape varieties, wine producing countries etc plus a few random things when I get distracted.
Founded in 2006 the Breitenbach winery is nestled in the heart of Hungary's Tokaj wine region. With just 6 hectares of 40-80 year old vines their focus is on the native grapes Furmint and Hárslevelű. Viticulture is done by hand and the mission is quality not quantity which is evident in their wines.
Harslevelu is a richly-flavored grape variety native to Hungary. It is best known for its supporting role in sweet Tokaji wines (where the better-known Furmint variety rules), however single varietals are becoming more popular. made as a varietal wine. Harslevelu often displays honeyed, smoky characters and its name, which means \"linden leaf\" in Hungarian, refers to the linden-like aromas that the wine takes on as it ages.

This is a semi-sweet single vineyard Furmint, from the Lapis vineyard. The acidity is so high, that the sweetness feels perfectly balanced, with an overall off-dry sensation. It has aromas of botrytis, honeycomb, ginger, ripe pineapple, and caramel. This wine is showing great right now after seven years of ageing. Enjoy it next to foie gras, aged cheese, and blue cheeses.
